Graphical Scanning
Graphical Scanning is the act of taking a tangible image (from a photograph, magazine, drawing, etc) and translating it into a format that is readable by a computer. The usual way this is accomplished is through using a piece of hardware called a scanner. A sample image obtained through the use of a scanner can be seen to the right [click to enlarge]. outside_bruceland.jpg (42033 bytes)

Instructional Technology Services has a total of 4 scanners for your use.  Our scanners operate at a maximum resolution of 1200dpi, and scan in using 24bit color (approx. 16 million colors).
